smplr

In effect from 1 October 2026.

We use as few suppliers as we can, and this is all of them.

Customers are given at least 30 days' notice by email before we engage a new one, and may object — see clause 6 of the data processing agreement.

Current sub-processors

Supplier What they do Where What they can reach
Fly.io Runs the application and the database London, United Kingdom (Fly.io lhr) All customer data, as the hosting provider
Amazon Web Services Stores uploaded documents (S3) and sends the service's email (SES) London, United Kingdom (AWS eu-west-2) Uploaded documents; the contents of emails we send, including names and email addresses
Sentry Collects application error reports so faults get fixed EU region Technical error context only — personal data is stripped before an error leaves our systems
Better Stack Monitors whether the service is up, and hosts the public status page EU No customer data; it checks public URLs from outside
Stripe Takes card payments, holds the payment method, and issues receipts Ireland, with processing in the United States The billing contact's name, email and billing address, and what the account is charged. No employee records, and no card details ever reach us

Other suppliers, which are not sub-processors

Typefaces. The two typefaces our pages use are served from our own servers, not a font network. Loading a page therefore involves no request to anyone but us, and no third party learns your IP address from visiting.

Our own email provider. Correspondence you send us — support, enquiries, invoices — reaches an ordinary business mailbox. That is us acting as controller of our own correspondence, not a sub-processor of your employee data.

What we do not use

smplr carries no advertising networks, no analytics or tracking services, no session-recording tools, and no third-party chat widgets. Nothing loads in a customer's account from a supplier not listed above.
